Double Header

Last Saturday we played a double header. We played the team called Fire as the first team we played. We played the second team called Tornado. Our team is called Lightning.

We won the Fire team by 11-2. And then when we played the Tornado team and lost 4-7 because they kept knocking down our players, and kicking us. Some of the parents on our team were really mad. (Not my dad.) They went and talked to the referee and the ref seemed to do nothing. The ref said if our parents are loud for our playoff's next Saturday that they can shut down the game. Hopefully our parents will not be too loud.

Defending The Goal

Here is another video I'm posting for Abigail of her defending the goal. I really enjoy watching her play.  Today they had the best game, winning by only one point, 9 to 8. Both teams fought real hard, and did a great job. Dad.

Soccer Game

Today I had a soccer game at 9 o'clock a.m. At first the Fire team was winning with one point. At the end of the game, we won 14 to 6. It was so fun because I got to have a lot of action. I got to run all over the court and steal the ball from the other team.

One boy #26 on the Fire team, was in my class in second grade. I don't think he knew who I was, but I recognized him.

Painting the Dog House and Getting A New Dog

Five days ago we got a dog. Her name is Dolce. I was so excited. She is super sweet because she always lets us pets her tummy, and she will let me feed her with my hand without biting me.

Yesterday we got our dog house from the post office. It was a huge box and hard to fit in our car trunk. It was so fun because my dad let me paint it with my sister. My mom picked the colors from dad's leftover paint supply.

When we take Dolce on a walk, she tries to sniff every little thing, and if there is a little dog, she will start barking rapidly and try to get to the dog immediately and not stop trying. If there is a big dog, she tries to go behind you and tries to run away. Yesterday, we introduced Dolce to a great dane named Emmie. Then Dolce was very shy and it took a while for the dogs to touch.

My fig tree has at least 26 figs and some of them are about the size of a quarter. They aren't purple yet, but they are green and starting to have some stripes.

I got a tomato plant from Walmart a few weeks ago. I planted it in my back yard. It has some flowers now and it will have some little yellow tomatoes that will be about two inches and look like little pear when they are ripe.

Spring is Here!

Hello everybody, my fig tree is sprouting, and it's going to have it's second season of figs. I am so excited because the leaves are about as big as my hand.

One day when I was playing with my friends we were just putting seeds in our dirt clay garden and we were just going to see if they grew. Me and one of my friends planted seeds in four cups. And they were one pea in the pod vine, seven cucumbers, an airplane plant, and a cabbage that our school gave us. Whoever grows the biggest cabbage at school wins a $1000 scholarship.

I am also in a Junior Master Gardeners class that a lady who is a Master Gardener at my church teaches. We just had our pictures taken for the newspaper, and we are now an official state recognized Junior Master Gardeners class. We planted a tomato plant in class.

One day we were going on a field trip to the Ft Worth Zoo, which is one of the best zoos in Texas. My mom was a chaperon. I got to pick two of my best friends to walk around the zoo with us. While I was there we went into the big bird cage. I got a seed stick full of seeds. Four birds landed on me. My best friend Natalie had about six land on her.

OH, last night there were a few tornadoes that were headed right for us, but before they got here they went south instead. But we did have a lot of thunder. When I was sleeping, I woke up from it six times.

We made a scrapbook in school. We had to pick an animal from the canopy in the rain forest. I chose the toucan. I learned all about it; it's life cycle, what it eats, I definitely learned what it looks like, and where it lives. It was really cool to make a scrapbook.

You know how I told you that there were 9 kids in my class? Well, now there are 11 kids in my class.

Hi it is me Abigail. A while ago, I went on a nature walk. It was fun because we got to go on a big huge bridge, and it was cool. There were trees all around us. And we saw a catepiller dust thing-y that had hair sticking out all over. Me, my dad, and Sam went through a little skinny trail that had a lot of thorns. Madeline and Mom stayed on the bigger pathway.

Last Sunday, I went to Chuck-e Cheese for the first time. It was for my brother's friend's birthday party. I got so many tickets, and I bought a huge sucker. It was a round, 4x4 inch rainbow sucker. I loved it. And which, of course, I ate it in two days.

Every day now I usually play with some friends of mine and Madeline's, and we go bike riding. We talk, and do jump roping too at my house in the front yard. We also sometimes go into the backyard and do hoola hooping contests and water my fig tree.
I got a fig tree. It's doing pretty well. I've eaten two of the figs so far. I got the fig tree from Grandma and Grandpa Cox. They sent me money for it for my birthday. We had to wait about 4 months before the fig trees came into the stores. I like it. It's about 4 1/2 feet tall, and about 2 feet wide. There are a lot of green figs on it. I have to water it everyday, and that is fun because I like to water plants and flowers.

My mom typed this blog, but I am typeing this. bye

1st Day of School

Hello! I am writing again. I started school, and it went good. I have a pretty nice teacher and her name is Mrs. Beeler. 3rd Grade is good, I have only 9 kids in my class. All of them are really nice kids. I got through the first week of school and it was really fun. I am looking forward to all the science projects we are going to do!
